The Therapy Rooms UK is leading the way in Teaching and Complementary Therapies. We are based in Invergordon in the Bonnie Highlands of Scotland and were founded in January 2010 by Tina McCaffery in order to provide first class affordable Complementary Therapies to everyone.
We started out with one room and very quickly realised we need more space and now have a large centre consisting of various therapy rooms.
In 2012 and 2013 we won Scotland's Top Spa of the year and in Nov 2014 our founder Tina McCaffery won Scotland's Top National Accolade and is now Scotland's Top Massage Therapist.
Tina Specialises in sports and remedial massage for those who are stressed and or in pain and has a very high success rate with her clients in reducing pain and frequently in getting rid of the pain altogether.
Tina McCaffery as well as being a sought after massage therapist for over twenty years and now Scotland's Top Massage Therapist is also a first class Trainer and Assessor and is sought after by students across Scotland for her various courses especially the exclusive massage courses which usually have a waiting list.
Big Changes to The Therapy Rooms UK
We are delighted to announce that we are now OFFICIALLY A TEACHING CLINIC!
What does this mean for you?
: Simply it means we are no longer a spa and instead will be a teaching clinic with the emphasis being on teaching students to be first class therapists in their chosen modality
: Clients will benefit as all therapies you have will now only be £20 when being seen by a trainee therapist
: Students get the benefit of being taught by Scotland Top Massage Therapist and clients are safe in the knowledge that they are receiving therapies by the best in the industry
Changing the NHS
Tina believes passionately that therapies should be affordable for all but more importantly be available on the NHS, however this is not happening and needs to change.
Massage is vital in relieving stress and pain, opening up muscles, getting flexibility back and allowing a person to feel human again.
Allowing massage on the NHS would reduce patient medication and thereby reduce NHS pharmaceutical bills, waiting lists and operations to list just a few of the benefits.
Over the coming year or so Tina will be lobbying MSP's and Doctors to allow massage therapists on the NHS and you can help by discussing it with your doctor, nurse, midwife or medical team.
Licensing the Therapy Industry
Having won the Top National Accolade as Scotland's Top Massage Therapist Tina believes that it should be used to not only work more with the NHS but to change the Therapy Industry by getting it regulated here in Scotland, so that therapists in all modalities will need to get a license to practice and will need to have done a certain level of qualifications and hours before being granted the license. This will protect the public and our industry and stop therapist setting up in business without the relevant qualifications and insurance and causing harm to members of the public!
